Meet our BGCL Khan Academy Members!Β

Martha is the top Khan member at Kids Club. She has leveled up the first 20 lessons and is learning new math skills. She is on grade level and continues to show resiliency and independence while working hard on learning new skills.

Isabella was nominated because of her drive to always want to learn new things. Isabella said that Khan academy has taught her β€œnew things that she has not learned in school yet.” Of all the members enrolled here in the Drop-In center, she is the leader in most learning minutes in Khan. Isabella’s favorite subject is math and the lessons offered on Khan allow her to be constantly learning new topics. Isabella is also a member of our reading club and enjoys reading new chapter books each month! Isabella is also an active member in science club.

Ruby is our top Khan Teen member. Not only does she participate in our literacy programs, but she also plays a key role in mentoring our younger members. She frequently appears as a guest reader engaging our little ones here at the club. Additionally, Ruby is part of our Keystone Club in which she is responsible for the budgeting and calculating of revenue earned at our snack bar during the basketball games.
