Ending Learning Poverty!
Learning poverty means being unable to read and understand a simple text by age 10.
We often hear that the better our education, the further we go in life….

We at ECF- stand by this belief. “ECF” Education Comes First; is fueled with passionate intent, to deliver high quality educational opportunities to underprivileged youth. We believe in supporting organizations with grant funding that target ending learning poverty.

READING

Learning to read is a milestone in every child’s life, it is a fundamental skill. All children should be able to read by age 10. Reading is the gateway of learning and furthers the ability to learn other subjects. Without foundational learning, students will fail later in school or the workforce. A deficit in foundational literacy skills in the early grades can lead to intergenerational transmission of poverty and vulnerability.

MATH

Math helps us think analytically and have better reasoning abilities. Analytical thinking refers to the ability to think critically about the world around us. Reasoning is our ability to think logically about situations.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

Social Development is a learning process where new types of behavior is learnt, change in interests occurs, new friendships are developed and maturity is social relationships are attained.
